Sheikh Ali bin Ahmed Al-Barrak (may Allah have mercy on him) was one of Tunisia's greatest Quran reciters. Born in 1899 in Kairouan, he passed away on December 4, 1981. Despite visual impairment from childhood, he memorized the Quran and mastered tajwid and the seven readings. He was the first to recite in the Qalun reading of Nafi' on Tunisian radio in 1938. His recitation is distinguished by its simplicity and deep reverence.
